Across Our Sites: Progress From Three Major London Projects

Latest progress from our major London projects in Holland Park, St John’s Wood and Ealing, as major structural works give way to the next stages of construction.

Work continues at pace across several of our current residential projects in London, with significant progress being made in Holland Park, St John’s Wood and Ealing.

Each project presents its own technical challenges, from substantial basement and structural works through to complex extensions and high-end internal fit-outs. As these schemes move beyond some of their major structural stages, attention is increasingly turning towards the internal spaces and the details that will define the finished homes.

Here, we take a look at the latest progress across three of our ongoing projects.

Holland Park: Preparing for the Internal Works

Since our last update from Holland Park, the project has progressed significantly, with the team now finishing the new roofs and completing the remaining structural works across the property.

The basement has been fully waterproofed, marking another major stage in the programme, while work to the new roof structures is nearing completion.

With these substantial elements of the build almost complete, preparations are now underway for the internal works to begin. This will mark an important transition for the project as the focus moves from the major structural stages towards creating the new spaces and interiors within the home.

St John’s Wood: Extension and Internal Works Progress

Our substantial basement and extension project in St John’s Wood has also reached another important stage.

Previous phases focused heavily on excavation, underpinning and the complex structural engineering required to create the new basement beneath the existing property. With much of this work now complete, progress is becoming increasingly visible both inside the property and above the new basement structure.

Construction of the extension above the basement is now underway, adding another major element to the new layout of the home.

Internally, work is progressing across the property, including the installation of the underfloor heating system. These works form an important part of the transition towards the internal fit-out as the property begins to move closer to its finished form.

The project continues to demonstrate the careful sequencing required when combining extensive below-ground construction, alterations to an existing property and the creation of substantial new living space.

Ealing: Glazing Complete and Flooring Underway

There has also been considerable progress at our Ealing project, where we are transforming a large Victorian property into a highly efficient, low-carbon family home.

Earlier stages of the project centred around major structural alterations, including a new basement beneath the existing property, a large rear extension, a new roof structure and extensive changes throughout the original house.

The project has now moved much further into the internal phase. Glazing has been installed throughout, helping to enclose the property and bringing the architectural design of the new and extended spaces into much sharper focus.

Flooring installation has also begun as work continues across the interiors. With the main structure established and more of the finishes now being introduced, the character of the completed home is becoming increasingly apparent.

Delivering Complex Residential Projects Across London

Although each of these projects is at a different point in its programme, all three demonstrate the breadth of work involved in delivering substantial residential transformations in London.

From basement construction and waterproofing through to structural alterations, extensions, building services and high-end internal finishes, our team works closely with architects, consultants and specialist contractors throughout every stage of the build.

As Holland Park, St John’s Wood and Ealing continue to progress, we look forward to sharing more from each project as the internal spaces develop and the finished homes begin to emerge.
